Thinking about summer on this fall-like day…here’s an oldie but goodie about taking kids to the beach (PS: like this post? Then please take minute to like the “Dear Babies” page on Facebook. Okay fine, you guessed it, today’s secret word is “like!”)

Dear Babies

Dear Babies,

7:30 a.m., on the phone with Nanny: “Let’s go to the beach! It will be great!”

8:30 a.m.: “We’re leaving at 9:30!”

10:30 a.m.: “Okay, we’re on the road…”

11:30 a.m.: “Do they have sunscreen on? It looks like his leg is burning…”

11:31 a.m.: “Don’t drink that,  yucky,” to Baby Girl about a pail of sea water.

11:32 a.m.: Baby Girl inserts a strawberry into said pail of sea water.

11:32 a.m.: “Don’t drink that, yucky.”

11:45: “Don’t eat that.”

11:55: “Get that out of your mouth.”

11:57: “Oh, that’s a pretty shell, do you want to bring that home to Daddy? No, don’t eat that. Don’t eat the shell. Yucky.”

11:58 a.m.: “Oh, that’s a pretty shell–wait why is it orange? Let me see the shell. Let me see the shell. Let Mommy see the shell. {Mommy sees the shell is someone else’s old orange peel.}…
